Rona’s Return

Introducing Rona’s Return - the newest Little Pub to roll out of our factory and straight into the arms of its very happy owner.

This story begins at Fieldays, where a chance encounter turned into a life-changing purchase. Well… with a little encouragement from his daughter. In her own wise words: “Just get one, you miserable prick.” And just like that, the dream started taking shape.

Named in honour of the client’s English mum, Rona, this is a pub with heart, history, and a whole lot of soul. Rona’s Return is a tribute to a woman who gave her all to her family, now immortalised as the namesake of a pub where that same family will gather, laugh, and raise a glass in her memory. It’s only fitting that Rona herself now sits proudly on the bar, keeping a watchful eye over her son, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren as they make new memories together.

Perched in prime position on a Wairarapa property, this luxury garden pub opens onto a beautiful deck with panoramic views over the rolling valley hills. And if that wasn’t enough, it also looks out over a home-made roller coaster in the backyard because why not have the ultimate home entertaining setup for all ages?

Rona’s Return is a 4.2m x 3m Platinum Model Little Irish Pub with a distinctly English twist. The rich, moody colour scheme, chosen with help from the client’s daughters, creates an inviting and luxurious atmosphere. The pub also reflects the owner’s passion for F1 racing, with vintage motorsport posters and a perfectly placed TV, ready for race day viewing (when he’s not jetting off to watch them in person).

Custom touches make this Little Pub truly one of a kind: plush deep-button leather seating, a polished gold 3D “Rona’s Return” sign, a classic English-style gin cabinet, and a handy service window opening out to the deck for easy alfresco entertaining.

Rona’s Return isn’t just a Little Pub, it’s a gathering place, a living memory, and a slice of England that’s found its perfect perch in a New Zealand backyard. To its owner, it’s the perfect retreat. To Rona, it’s the perfect way to keep the family close. And to us? Well… it’s further proof that the best Little Pubs aren’t just built from wood and nails, but from love, and a bit of cheeky encouragement.

Cheers to Rona!
